How to Install Fuel Pump Control Module?

1st Step

The first step is to park your vehicle on a level surface and turn the engine off. Also, it is important to disconnect the negative terminal of the vehicle’s battery in order to prevent any electrical accidents.

2nd Step

Now locate the duel pump control module as we described earlier. If not, refer to your vehicle’s service manual to find the exact location of the FPCM. As said earlier, it’s typically located near the fuel tank or within the engine compartment.

3rd Step

Now, disconnect the connectors and bolts securing the old FPCM in place and carefully remove the old FPCM from its position.

4th Step

Now simply, position the new FPCM in place, aligning it with the mounting holes. Secure the FPCM with the mounting bolts and reconnect the connectors. 

If you had to remove any components to access the old FPCM, reassemble them in reverse. Now it’s time to reconnect the negative terminal of the vehicle’s battery that you removed in the first place to restore power to the vehicle’s electrical system.
